NPO spreads spirit of Christmas

Ignite Revolution's Jessica Naicker said all children received gifts, saying that they had the privilege of sharing the gospel of Jesus with the families and praying with them.

It was a busy festive season for non-profit organisation, Ignite Revolution as they spent Christmas in various places with different people.

The founder of Ignite, Jessica Naicker said they had an incredible time with families in need from Hibberdene, Southport, Sunwich Port, Sea Park and Umtentweni.

Naicker said all children received gifts, saying that they had the privilege of sharing the gospel of Jesus with the families and praying with them.
She said this was a priority in all their initiatives.

Ignite Revolution treated the little ones to Christmas presents.

“Some of the children were wearing the clothes from the Ignite Christmas shop and the mothers the shoes. It was a blessing to see this. Thank you to each sponsor that donated, the gifts, love, hope and joy that you have given these babies is indescribable. Their faces lit up when their names were called and when they opened their gifts it was as if they just won the lotto,” said Naicker.

The organisation also hosted a Christmas lunch with their family at Emseni Children’s Place of Safety.
Naicker said this has become a yearly tradition, saying that Emseni has over 35 children during the holidays.

“While some children go home to relatives or other families in the community, some children are left at the shelter. They were encouraged and reminded of how loved and special they are. We had a time of prayer and beautiful fellowship. They were treated to a delicious meal of gammon, roast chicken, pasta salad, roast potatoes, butternut, mince pies, and cupcakes. Each child and caregiver received a gift,” said Naicker.

She added that the Love Agenda Family sat down with them, and everyone enjoyed lunch together.
She said the children were super excited to receive gifts, saying that they immediately started interacting with them.
