Shozi bags big acting gig

Nomalanga Shozi will play Botle Kompie, the lead character Bonga Tembe‘s (Thembinkosi Mthembu), new love interest on Adulting Season 2.

Local media personality Nomalanga Shozi is bagging gig after gig and the acting role she recently secured on Showmax’s Adulting Season 2 is proof of that.

Tshedza Pictures recently dropped the trailer for the second season of Adulting which launched on December 4 with new episodes on Mondays until February 26, 2024.

It was announced that the TV presenter, radio broadcaster, and media personality is the new addition to the cast.

It was reported that she will be playing the character of Botle Kompie, lead character Bonga Tembe’s (Thembinkosi Mthembu), new love interest.

Speaking about the role, Shozi said she is beyond thrilled to be a part of Adulting.

The 29-year-old said she is also thrilled to be working alongside a talented and dedicated cast and team.

“The show’s unique blend of humour and genuine storytelling really resonated with me, as it did with season one’s audiences, and this season is even spicier. I look forward to sharing my character’s cheeky personality, and to showcase my acting skills to new audiences. Viewers should get ready for a rollercoaster of emotions, charm, laughter, and love! I’m inviting everyone along for this wild ride,” she said.

Originally from Boboyi, Shozi recently hosted the South African Music Awards (SAMA29).

For the second season, former Marburg Secondary pupil and breakout star Londeka Sishi will also returns as Nkanyezi.

According to Tshedza Pictures, for season two of Adulting the boys are back in Thembinkosi Mthembu as Bonga, Nhlanhla Kunene as Eric, Thabiso Rammusi as Mpho and Luthando Mthembu as Vuyani, along with Sishi, Lungile Duma as Zithulele and Dippy Padi as Palesa.

They added that this season will introduce South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) nominees and former Rhythm City castmates Samkelo Ndlovu, Thembi Seete and Shozi.
