Revellers party in the rain

Despite heavy rains that persisted throughout last Saturday, event-goers could be seen dancing and singing along in the rain.

A number of South Coasters braved the rainy and windy weather to attend the Ekhaya Cultural Experience at the TB Molefe Stadium in Gamalakhe last Saturday.

The event was hosted by 039 Kasified Eksperience and it featured big names such as Dlala Thukzin, Khuzani, Mthunzi, Olefied Khetha and many more.

Despite heavy rains that persisted throughout Saturday, event-goers could be seen dancing and singing along in the rain.

Founder of 039 Kasified Eksperience, Musawakhe Khowa said the event would have been more successful if it had not rained.

Performing on stage are Siphesihle Cele (left) and Khethukuthula ‘Olefied Khetha’ Yalo.

“Nonetheless, the show went on. Shout out to everyone who partied with us in the rain, especially those in the general section. Those people are my fighters, we partied so hard in the mud,” he said.

Khowa added that as an event organiser, he is still learning, saying that he does not want to pretend as if he does not see his imperfections.

Bonding at the Ekhaya Cultural Experience are (from left) Bellinda Cele, Thabile Sima, Thabiso Mpisana, Noluthando Mvuni and Lusanda Nyawose.

“We are grateful for the support,” he said.
