Residents in Boboyi and Murchison recently raised concerns about the number of people who have been found dead in their areas.
These residents added that unfortunately the deceased are not from the area.
Port Shepstone police spokesperson, Captain Petros Mpinge, said his office can confirm that police are investigating two separate cases of murder which occurred on Monday this week.
“A man aged about 35 sustained fatal gunshot wounds on the N2 Main Harding Road on Monday last week at about 3pm. Later at about 6.30pm, a man aged about 30 was gunned down in Murchison. The motive for the shootings is under investigation,” said Mpinge.
