Local karatekas engage with Japanese grandmaster

Shihan Frank said all karatekas from the Port Shepstone Shotokan Karate Club performed extremely well.

World-renowned Japanese karate grandmaster, Master Manabu Murakami recently held a training session at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre for karate enthusiasts on the South Coast.

The training session was organised by Shihan Frank Moodley and was also attended by the president of Karate South Africa, Sonny Pillay.

“The training session at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre left many local karatekas with an unforgettable experience that will help in growing them in their karate careers,” said Shihan Frank.

Meanwhile, karatekas from the Port Shepstone Shotokan Karate Club recently took part in the Karate South Africa elite championship in Cape Town, and the Kanazawa Cup tournament which took place at Tongaat Indoor Sports Centre.
