She added that as a survivor of Covid-19 and someone who lost a partner to the virus, she has a vision to help women.

The founder of The Lady of Purple organisation, Yashina Singh, was recently crowned first princess at the Mrs Royal International Pageant South Africa 2023.

Singh who is from Marburg said she believes that the crown she recently received will open more doors in the different areas where she aspires to work in.
She added that as a survivor of Covid-19 and someone who lost a partner to the virus, she has a vision to help women.

“I am a mother, a survivor of Covid-19, lost my partner to the virus. I am a business manager in a financial institution and I wish to support women through grief and create a sounding board to help propel one another in our journey of life. In the running for Mrs Royal International Pageant South Africa 2023, I met some amazing friends whom I bonded with, and am so glad that this has happened. I want to be of help to other women just like me. I have been given the opportunity to host African Essence, ‘Dining and Vibing SA ‘on GLOW TV as a guest presenter. I have been invited to many women’s events, had the opportunity to cook with celebrity chefs, and I have also been featured in a host of magazines. I wish to continue with the purpose of what God has called me to do and for me that is one of the most important things in my life,” said Singh.

Speaking about her passion for women empowerment, she said she has always had a heart for people, saying that nothing is more precious than doing your best for those you love and care for.
She added that she finds so much fulfilment in assisting others.

The Mrs Royal International Pageant South Africa 2023 first princess said her goal is to be the best version of herself.

“To give my best while putting myself first. As women, we neglect who we are and we are so consumed with taking care of others that we forget about ourselves. I want women to value themselves. I want them to know that we matter and our voices matter as well,” she said, adding that her goal also includes getting closer to God.

Singh said: “My goal is to get closer to God because without him, I would not have been where I am today. My life goals include getting to travel someday, being God willing, and opening a centre for women,” said Singh.
