All roads lead to mayoral business fair

Everyone is welcome to attend and entry is free.

For its fifth edition, the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Mayoral Business Fair is returning with over 50 Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) exhibiting.

The business fair hosted by RNM mayor, Sikhumbuzo Mqadi will take place at the Southcoast Mall on November 23.

According to RNM municipal spokesperson, Simon April the Mayoral Business Fair has grown to become the cradle of SMME innovation and growth on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.

April said in the past five years, the business fair has given over 200 SMMEs a platform to showcase, network and benchmark.
Meanwhile, RNM mayor Mqadi said together with their partners, such as the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental (EDTEA) and Redefine (the owners of the Southcoast Mall); this year’s Mayoral Fair seeks to contribute to the reconstruction of the province and the district after the devastation of Covid-19, the 2021 July unrest as well as the floods in April this year.

“The day is expected to start at 8am with a business seminar for the participating SMMEs. The seminar, which seeks to expose emerging businesses to opportunity, will be addressed by speakers representing government and its agencies, the local business chamber, banks and other notable guests. Everyone is welcome to attend. Entry is free,” said Mqadi.
