Businesses gun for Next Billionaire Award
The awards will be held at the Wild Coast Sun on December 15.
Nominated in the Upcoming Business category for the The Next Billionare (TBN) Awards, Siphesihle Dlungwana wants to take the award home.
The third annual TBN awards which is hosted by Umlando Creatives will be held at the Wild Coast Sun on December 15.
Dlungwana said his business, Swab Detergents Pty Ltd, which manufactures cleaning products was nominated.
TBN is a business show based on educating and profiling Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) with the aim of giving them a platform to market themselves and engage with customers.
Dlungwana said his business aspires to be the best in its line of work, adding that they never compromise on the quality of services they provide.
The former Merlewood Secondary school pupil said his love for this business started when the Covid-19 pandemic began.
“I took a short course after one of my aunts shared a very interesting story with me about a friend who had became successful doing this type of work, which is what inspired me to start my own business. I was nominated for the TBN awards after we had done an interview with the show, The Next Billionaire. The show gave us a platform as entrepreneurs to market and advertise our businesses. I was one of the businesses that was chosen to be part of the ‘Upcoming Business’ category for the awards,” he said.
Dlungwana said his goal in his career is be able to have his own warehouse one day and to also be able to create as many job opportunities.
“I currently have a shop at the Gamalakhe Lifestyle Centre. I would love to ask for support and votes for my business, please vote by SMSing TNB13 to 31510. Voting costs R1.50 and voters can vote as many times as they like,” he said.
Voting lines will close on November 20.
Meanwhile, Mbongeni Mthembu of Monate Outdoor Activities was nominated in the category of Tourism and Hospitality for the TBN awards while Amahle Ngaleka of Amor Events Catering and Décor was nominated in the Agriculture category.
