Monitoring farm operations

Ray Nkonyeni Municipality mayor Skhumbuzo Mqadi recently visited three emerging farms to examine their day-to-day operations.

Mqadi was with the chairperson of Development Services Portfolio Committee, Phumlani Gumbi when he visited the Mckedo Farm in Bhobhoyi, Oatlands Oyster Mushrooms in Qinabout, and BBS Farm in Southport.

Ray Nkonyeni Municipality said the three farms were recently supported to attend an international business exhibition in Turkey where they showcased their goods, adding that mayor Mqadi committed the municipality to monitor and continue to support these farms and other emerging businesses.
