Five nabbed for drug possession
Margate Station Commander, Brigadier William Slabbert thanked the police members for the arrests and recoveries.
Five men were recently arrested and charged for drug dealing by Margate police.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Sibu Ncane said the station’s drug task team and Operational Command Centre (OCC) members acted on intelligence and conducted a raid in Gcilima, Manaba and Matsheketsheni.
Ncane said the drugs found on the men were confiscated by police.
“They appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court on Monday, August 8 and their cases were remanded to August 17 and 18,” said Ncane, adding that Margate Station Commander, Brigadier William Slabbert thanked the members for the arrests and recoveries.
