Members of Port Shepstone Public Order Policing (POP) recently arrested a 37-year-old man, after he was found in possession of illicit drugs at Port Shepstone taxi tank on Monday August 1.
Port Shepstone SAPS communications officer Captain Petros Mpinge said a stop and search was being conducted at the rank when the POP members noticed a suspicious-looking man.
“He was searched, and cocaine, tik (crystal meth) and rock were found in his possession. He was arrested and charged for possession of drugs,” said Mpinge
The suspect appeared in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court and the matter was remanded to a later date.
