BRONWYN TANNER: Tuning In – Beach car park project is complete

Community news and events for the mid-South Coast.

Pennington‘s beach car park has finally been completed.

This Tidy Towns Pennington NPO project consisted of four years of planning and two years of fundraising.

To mark the successful completion, a ribbon cutting and toast was recently done by the team to celebrate.

The team has created slightly wider parking bays and two disabled parking bays (signage to follow), and it was also decided to add some extra paving to the original plan.

These extra surprise sections include the first part of the path from the car park towards the beach, the vendors’ area and the path from the car park to the shops and Relton Hall.

Tidy Towns thanks Pennington Conservancy for agreeing to contribute to these three additional areas.

The entire team is thanked for persisting with fundraising, and thanks to the kind and generous residents and companies who donated towards this project, as well as Pro Ex Paving for a job well done.

All the best: Sr Musa Ndlovu recently had a debriefing session with the Osisibathemba staff and has retired and received a farewell gift.
