The Department of Justice, National Prosecuting Authority and Legal Aid recently held an Access to Justice Week initiative to introduce maintenance services at Umzinto Court. Maintenance services will be provided every Thursday.

* A reminder to all about the Snakes Alive talk in Pennington. This will be given by Pat McKrill (best known as the snake man) under the Fig Tree at Nkomba on Saturday, August 24 (today). Entry is R50 per person. Children U12 enter free. Bring along a picnic, refreshments, picnic chairs and tables. The talk starts at 13:30.

* Don’t forget, recycling is held at Relton Hall in Pennington every Wednesday from 09:00 to 10:00. E-waste collection is on the first Wednesday of each month. For more information, email: penningtonconservancy@gmail.com.

* Pennington Ski Boat Club hosts a quiz night every Thursday; every Friday is happy hour with a lucky draw, and the annual potjiekos competition is on August 31.

* Join the nippers at Scottburgh Lifesaving Club on September 1 at 09:00. Learn about the basics of water safety and lifesaving, and join in some fun activities on the beach.

* The Clansthal Seasonal Craft Market is holding a Spring craft market on September 1 from 09:00 to 14:00 at 111 Pig n Whistle Drive, Clansthal. There are resident dogs, so please, no visiting dogs.
