OPINION: Rock hunts help to feed feral cats

"Your support has helped me achieve my goal of providing for the strays and raising awareness about the issues of animal welfare in our community."

I would like to express my gratitude to you and the entire team of the South Coast Herald.
A special thanks to Shona Aylward for the coverage of my Miss Kitty rock hunt.

The two published articles (one in the Fever and one in the South Coast Herald) highlighted my efforts to collect cat food and has bought attention to the cause.

My Valentine’s Day rock hunt was a success and my birthday rock hunt on March 9 and 10 received so much attention.

I hope to continue with a monthly rock hunt to support the cause.
Thanks to your coverage, I have received an overwhelming response from the community and I have collected a good amount of cat food.

Your support has helped me achieve my goal of providing for the strays and raising awareness about the issues of animal welfare in our community.

Some of my best memories I have of my dad are holidaying in Margate and feeding the strays in the evenings.
I know I’m making him proud.

When we moved to Manaba/Margate I noticed the colonies of strays right on our doorstep and I knew I had to help them.

Thank you for your publication and making this world a better place.
