Deepvale Road in Marburg has been in a deplorable condition for over a year, from the intersection of Protea and Deepvale Roads up to the robots near Marburg Secondary School. The potholes can no longer be called potholes but craters!
This road is extensively used by vehicular and pedestrian traffic, including learners. Over 1 300 learners from Marburg Secondary School use the road daily as the school is on this very busy road.
The road has been in such a deplorable state of disrepair that an accident is waiting to happen, God forbid to a learner before the road is attended to.
Why are the residents paying exorbitant rates monthly? Certainly not for the proper repair of the roads in Marburg!
It is not only Deepvale Road that is in such a poor condition but also other roads in Marburg. The verges along Sugar Mill Road are so overgrown that drivers cannot see pedestrians as there are no longer road shoulders, let alone pavements!
