BRONWYN TANNER: Tuning In – It’s back to school!

Community news and events for the mid-South Coast area.

Schools are back. I’m sure there are many mixed emotions. Good luck to those precious little people who are entering Grade 1 – and of course to the parents.

An interesting item: The Scottburgh Mall car guards clamped a car for parking in the disabled parking – without a disabled member driving and/or within the car. A lesson to the community that such behaviour is unacceptable.

The vehicle clamped for parking in the disabled zone at Scottburgh Mall last week.

Upcoming events in Scottburgh to be noted:
* March 30: Scottburgh Easter Evening Market from 14:00 until 22:00 at Marine Terrace together with an Easter Run of 10km.

* June 28: Sardine Run Beach Market at Scottburgh beach from 17:00 until 22:00 together with a fishing competition from sunrise to sunset from June 28 to July 3 between Scottburgh and Rocky Bay.

* September 21: Scottburgh Spring Market at Marine Terrace from 14:00 until 22:00 together with a 10km Spring Run.

* December 22: Scottburgh Mardi Gras in Scott Street from 09:00.
