A service provider was tasked to clean the road verge on Indira Road, Lionsgrove.
A machine was used and this is the result. The grass was simply graded with all the sand left along the road in huge heaps, leaving the area in a terrible state. Surely any person with slight intelligence would have pushed the soil away from the road, leaving the area in an acceptable manner. Relevant municipality officials were contacted but in vain. It is two weeks now since this shoddy work was done. While the conservancies and Tidy Towns are doing their utmost best to maintain the area, the municipality with all its resources leaves us to wonder.
An appeal is being made to Ray Nkonyeni Municipality and all service providers to take pride in work being done.
