BRONWYN TANNER: Tuning In – Diarise upcoming events on mid-South Coast

Community events for the mid-South Coast area.

In four months’ time we will be heading into New Year’s Eve and 2024. Anyone else found August to be an incredibly long month? Five weeks is a long time!

Upcoming events:
* The Relton Hall Recreation Club is holding its monthly market on Saturday, September 2. For more information contact 083 6539164.

* A fun day is being held at Ifafa Beach soccer grounds on Saturday, September 2 from 08:00 to late. Food will be on sale. Loads of fun for the kids, face painting, jumping castle, games and much more. For more information contact 065 9945078.

* Keep Scottburgh Beautiful together with Scottburgh Athletics Club is holding a trail run on Sunday, September 3. The 12km race starts at 08:00 and 6km at 08:30. Entry fee is R120 for 12km and R80 for 6km. Entries can be collected from Surfers Paradise, Scottburgh Mall or contact Dana Daniels on 083 2651029 for more information. A donation will be made towards Keep Scottburgh Beautiful to fund their great initiatives.

* The Pennington Community Watch committee invites members of the community to attend the feedback meeting on September 12 at 17:30 at Pennington Library, Dolphin Drive.

* The Scottburgh MTB and Trail Run will be held on September 23 from 07:00 to 13:00. Watch this space for further information.

* Pennington Ski Boat Club presents the 2023 potjie competition on October 7. There will be much eating, live music and loads of fun. Registration fee R100. Email secretary@psbc.org.za

* Looking into the future – Khanya Hospice is holding a live show with Khilona Sounds plus Nagara Entertainers. There will also be a glamourous gran competition. Gifts are sponsored by Mervin Mundie. The cost is R60 per person. It will be held at the Orissa Inn, Umkomaas on November 25 at 18:30.
