BRONWYN TANNER: Tuning In – Catch Jerry Kunene on sax at Nkomba Sanctuary

Community news and events for Pennington and surrounding areas.

I received a note from a reader sharing her experience at the Hibiscus Day Clinic in the new Scottburgh hospital. She saw the eye specialist and had an operation.

First the right eye and then a week later, the left eye. She had an amazing experience with warm friendliness and great service from the security at the gate to the surgeon and everyone in between. Such great news.

Jerry Kunene on sax returns to the Fig Tree at Nkomba Sanctuary, Dolphin Drive, Pennington this Saturday, (24th). It is from 13:00 to 15:00. Bring along a picnic basket, refreshments and a chair. Cost is R85 per person and booking is essential. Contact 083 4415084.

Every winter, Umdoni Retirement Village has a market. I will be held inside the hall this Saturday (24th). A few tables are still available, if you would like one, contact Lesley Perchman on WhatsApp on 083 2871296. No general store or imported goods.

This photo has been submitted by a buddy who advised that Allan McLennan has been fishing for many years – this is his first catch. Not sure how true that is!
