OPINION: Government of the day has failed its people

"Fellow South Africans, we have a huge opportunity to correct the situation for a brighter future of our lovely country in 2024."

Thank you very much for this opportunity to make the following comments:

1. This is with regards to the collapse of the Ugu District Municipality and its little towns such as Hibberdene, Port Shepstone through to Port Edward. As all residents and voters of this part of the South Coast are well aware of the fact that criminals, vagrants, as well as ordinary thieves, have now taken control of the district.
They pick-pocket shoppers, demand money from all those who make withdrawals from ATMs, and also demanding their belongings.

2. However, on behalf of the National Religious Freedom Party we would like to state for the record that we appreciate and encourage the initiative taken by the local community structures to speedily work together to stop these predicaments. It must start where South Coast people appreciate that good spirit of patriotism, togetherness as well as the good relationships, irrespective of race, gender or colour. We must understand the fact that the government of the day has failed its people, or its voter, and are busy fighting among themselves because of the unclear policies that can successfully rule the country. As it now happens on this electricity saga which has now confronted us as a result of uncontrolled corruption and nepotism, putting the wrong person in the wrong position.

Fellow South Africans, we have a huge opportunity to correct the situation for a brighter future of our lovely country, as well as for our children by joining hands together to vote in 2024 for big and small, new and old political party leaders with a wealth of experience to take over and control the resources and infrastructures in the Ugu District.
