School holidays are over and it’s back to the routine of books, bags, socks, PE stuff and lunch boxes. Good luck to all as we head into the second term of the school year.

The Lions are hosting a charity golf day at Scottburgh Golf Club on Saturday, May 27. Contact the club for bookings on 087 1501312. For prospective sponsors contact 082 5707439.

Scottburgh Pre-Primary School is looking for drivers for the Sani 2C fundraiser on Wednesday, April 26. Please contact them on 039 9760610. Drivers must be 25 and over with a valid driver’s licence.

Join the Art Fair under the fig tree at Nkomba on Saturday, April 29 from 11:00 to 15:00. Candice de Klerk will entertain with her beautiful and unique vocals accompanied by guitar.
Bring your own wine, picnic basket and chair. If you don’t want to pack a picnic basket, pre order a picnic box. Call 083 4415084. Entrance fee is R30 per person. Free limited parking on site with a car guard.

For gardeners, farmworkers and all those who come into contact with alien invasive plants, training is available. This is a Bazley Conservancy initiative supported by Elsa Pooley. The training includes three days of practical application, a learning manual together with a Certificate of Competence on completion of the course. Activities at Pennington’s Relton Hall:
• Stitch and Bitch every first and third Thursday and arts and crafts will be every second and fourth Thursday.
