DA closes caucus office

The DA apologised for the inconvenience.

EDITOR

The DA Ray Nkonyeni Municipality caucus took a decision to close our caucus office in Scott Street, Port Shepstone. A number of factors were taken into account when this decision was made.

Firstly, the caucus felt that they wanted to decentralise our services to ward level in order for councillors to have more direct contact with their residents.

Secondly, that the current office that were financed mostly by the councillors has become unaffordable to lease and maintain.

Thirdly, we want to assure the community that the DA is not closing down.

We will continue to be available through information tables, on social media and within our wards to interact with residents and ratepayers at various community meetings and in person.

All other wards are serviced by ANC and IFP councillors. Please contact them for assistance.

People requiring proof of residence can make use of utility accounts that are in their names as well.

We apologise for this inconvenience and will notify the community of any changes.
