OPINION: Child Welfare expresses gratitude to legal eagles for golf day

There are various way you can support Child Welfare.

The world has become a scary place. We seem constantly to be on the brink of a global meltdown. Wars rage, heinous crimes abound, the economy flounders more often than not and people die needlessly – of ignorance and lack and starvation and disease but mostly I think because those empowered to make a difference simply don’t care to. This, blessedly, is not always the case and in the instance we are confronted with magnanimous compassion and selfless love it must be celebrated.

Barry, Botha and Breytenbach Incorporated recently hosted a tremendously successful golf day at Port Shepstone Country Club for our benefit, the result of which exceeded our wildest expectations and we would like to thank them and each of the establishments and persons involved in this inspiring initiative though it hardly feels sufficient considering the immeasurable impact their kindness and generous support will have in the lives of our children.

It bears mentioning that Child Welfare SA Port Shepstone (CWPS) is a private organisation and not a government subsidiary. Without the backing of the community we cannot be the advocates our young ones so desperately need.
