OPINION: Rebirth of beautiful Uvongo

"It is now the turn of the other able-bodied residents to assist as well, however possible!"

A very big thanks from the Uvongo Ratepayers and Residents Association to ‘Tidy Towns’ for reviving Uvongo’s beauty again. These dedicated teams are busy making positive changes all around Uvongo, for all of our benefits.

To date it’s mainly their team members and families that are carrying out the majority of work to revive Uvongo’s beauty. Thanks also goes to some of our senior community members for their selfless voluntary participation in various basic clean-up efforts as well.

It is now the turn of the other able-bodied residents to assist as well, however possible! Hence, the next time there is a call for additional able-bodied hands assistance for any particular clean-up, please come along and assist.

Furthermore, a heartfelt plea goes out to the other non-abled bodies, such as myself, if you cannot support ‘physically’, then please chip in some ‘financial’ support (of any denomination!) to assist the Tidy Towns team in buying paint, brushes, food, tools, brush cutter petrol or whatever else is needed.

The ‘donation’ account is ‘Doug’s Hardware’; banking details are available from Jo-Ellen Hannaway on 072 3052585.

Thanks in advance; let’s together make the South Coast ‘great’ again.
