Tuning in: Fireworks, broken glass and some voting high and lows

I have asked people to comment on their fireworks experience.

The fireworks used at Diwali time was not a fun celebration for everyone as some people (and animals) were traumatised by them.

Every year I say the same thing: “This is the festival of lights, not the festival of bangs.” I would really like to receive a reasonable response as to why it is necessary to create a warzone to celebrate lights? I have asked people to comment on their fireworks experience.

It needs to be shared. No names, no pack drill. Just comments. There was a complaint about a house in Scottburgh south, the road is Ann Arbour near Margaret Avenue.

A local family went down to the tidal pool at Park Rynie. Sadly one of their children cut her foot open on broken glass on the path. We live in such a caring-disabled/challenged/impaired society. Broken glass on a path that is going to be used by people, including children, and dogs is unacceptable. It is so sad that the glass was just left to injure someone.

Thankfully, this family cared enough to clear away the broken glass so that no one else had to have the same experience. Voting was such a wonderful experience in Pennington. The line was long, but it all happened the way it should.

There were complaints. There were praises. I think that might be called a balance. Well done to all involved. The hospital in Scottburgh is happening.

It is good to see. I am not sure as to when it will be completed, but action is underway. However, the bridge is still unfinished. Does anyone have any details on when it will be completed?
