The letter in the Herald (April 6) entitled ‘Make sure you insist on a receipt’, the author claimed that he was not issued with a receipt when he renewed his vehicle licence and people must make sure that they do receive a receipt.

I find this info misleading since no licence disc can be issued without a receipt. The disc is printed on the receipt and has to be cut out, therefore no other receipt is issued. The letter insinuates that something fishy is on the go and this type of thing is just causing unnecessary problems, mistrust and confusion.
