Merlewood Primary aims to build a better tomorrow

Principal Nthabaleng Mohlaoli said that she was grateful for the support shown.

To enhance educational facilities and create more opportunities for its learners, Merlewood Primary launched the “Build a Better Tomorrow” initiative last Saturday, inviting businesses, community leaders, teachers and alumni to support the school in various upcoming projects.

The initiative, which aims to develop key aspects of the school’s infrastructure and student programmes, kicked off with a successful first meeting – aptly called the Business Finger Brunch at the school premises.

Everyone engaged in productive discussions on how they can partner with the school to improve resources and expand opportunities for current and future learners.

Principal Nthabaleng Mohlaoli said that she was grateful for the support shown.

The school has several projects on the horizon, including completing the internal structure of the school hall, upgrading sports facilities and enhancing technological resources. However, these efforts require financial backing and community involvement.

“We firmly believe that when businesses and community leaders invest in education, they are investing in the future workforce and the well-being of our entire community,” added Mohlaoli.

The school calls on anyone interested in learning more about the initiative to contact them on 039 6854843.
