Career exploration at Creston

The Grade 2s also celebrated Career Day by dressing up as their future selves.

The last week of term 3 at Creston College was filled with exciting events and achievements.

The pre-primary annual sports day brought fun and energy with flat races, relays and novelty events.

Heritage Day celebrations across all phases showcased vibrant traditional attire, cultural pride and a festive braai for the high school. Earlier that week, a joint sports event encouraged teamwork between junior primary and high school learners.

Career exploration was a key theme for Grade 2 this term. They embarked on an exciting field trip to the Desmond Equipment Factory, where they observed the entire process of machine design, manufacturing and assembly.

Inspired by this experience, learners crafted their own yellow machines from playdough.

The Grade 2s also celebrated Career Day by dressing up as their future selves – doctors, engineers, judges, explorers and more – sharing their dreams while learning about various professions.

The school also celebrated its junior primary creative writing competition winners and congratulations to Grade 3 learner Oyi Makongwana, who took first place in his age group at the Lower South Coast cross-country.
