Jai Hind rewards reader winners

Winners in each division received medals, certificates and a special book award to celebrate their achievements.

Jai Hind Primary recently hosted a successful reading competition for its foundation phase learners.

Learners from Grades 1, 2 and 3 participated in classroom events, with two learners from each class selected to compete at grade level.

A total of 20 learners made it to the final event and were awarded certificates, recognising their hard work and participation.

Winners in each division received medals, certificates and a special book award to celebrate their achievements.

Learners were judged on fluency, pronunciation, comprehension, expression, confidence and posture while reading.

Judges Rosh Audan and Indira Ramadeen, both former teachers, were impressed by the learners’ remarkable reading abilities and overall proficiency.

The event highlighted the dedication and effort of both learners and educators, reinforcing the importance of reading at an early age.
