Special needs centre celebrates 10th birthday

There are currently 13 staff members and 43 children at the centre.

Learners and staff celebrated the 10th birthday of the Megan Du Plessis Special Needs Centre with cupcake decorating, which has become a yearly tradition.

On September 1, 2014, the doors of a small special needs centre opened with only two children.

The motto was ‘if children don’t learn the way we teach, we will teach them the way they learn’ – and the motto is still the same today.

The centre is still, thanks to God, going strong, with 13 staff members and 43 children.

They thank the Lord for the wonderful journey and the incredible success of a very small beginning.

Today, they have an incredible and spacious facility with wonderful outdoor space for active and adventurous learners.

Many people have supported the project. People all over the world opened their hearts, folded their hands in prayer, donated, shared love and kindness, helped and guided.

Daily, they are reminded how faithful the Lord is and that nothing is impossible.
