Prayer uplifts at Merlewood Primary
Pieter Zandberg (Grade 5) was awarded a bronze medal in the 3km race.
Merlewood Primary participated in the Ugu District cross-country championships at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre recently.

The U13 soccer boys participated in a tournament at Port Shepstone Senior Primary. They played three games, drew all and placed fourth.
The senior phase had a special prayer by Pastor Marais, and the foundation and intermediate phases also had a special assembly where Pastor Craig prayed for learners and encouraged them.
These assemblies uplifted learners and teachers alike.
Two learners, Aphile Mpanza from Grade 3 and Zizipho Nsimbi from Grade 4, have qualified for the second round of the Mental Maths district level challenge.
Grade 4 – 8 learners recently participated in the South African Natural Science Olympiad.
