Social issues discussed at St Martin’s

St Martin De Porres School recently hosted the Saps’ Social Crime Prevention Unit as part of the school’s ongoing efforts to educate and empower its learners on critical social issues.

He emphasised the importance of a safe and supportive school environment where learners can thrive without fear of intimidation or harassment.

Constable Ziningi Khena (Port Shepstone Saps Social Crime Prevention), Dion Davey (principal) and Fathima Moosa (CPF).

In a separate session, Fathima Moosa and Constable Ziningi Khena spoke to the female learners, highlighting the significance of women’s roles in society, particularly during Women’s Month.

Their discussions aimed to inspire and empower the young women, encouraging them to recognise their value and potential in contributing positively to their communities.

The school remains dedicated to providing a holistic education that goes beyond the classroom, ensuring that its learners are well-informed, socially responsible and empowered to make positive changes in their lives and communities.
