Izotsha applauds athletes

Well done to each and every learner.

Inter-school cross-country and inter-house athletics events took place in the intermediate and senior phases at Izotsha Primary last week.

Field events, together with the 1200m and 1500m long-distance events, took place last Tuesday, with a few records being broken.

The cross-country team (U7 – U14) participated in an inter-school event at Southcity last Wednesday.

At the intermediate and senior phase inter-house athletics running events last Thursday, Panther was the overall winner, with Leopard second and Jaguar in third.

Leopard House won the spirit trophy for their energetic and exuberant cheer for their team.

The age group winners were as follows: Zanda Shabane (U10G), Olwami Mbele (U10B), Skyla Nadauld (U11G), Reece Moynihan and Sithenkosi Mbebe (U11B), Deyana Chetty and Naledi Gumede (U12G), Ndumiso Mwelase (U12B), Ella Bunge (U13G) and Reece Baird (U13B).

The overall winners were as follows: Junior Victor Ludorum – Olwami Mbele, Junior Victrix Ludorum – Skyla Nadauld, Senior Victor Ludorum – Ndumiso Mwelase and Senior Victrix Ludorum – Ella Bunge.

The school will be hosting a Family Fun Boeresports and Potjie Challenge on August 24.
