Flowerpot making at special needs centre

The centre tries to expose learners to a variety of activities to find the skills and interests of each learner.

In the yellow class at Megan Du Plessis Special Needs Centre, they don’t only focus on academic work but also teach various skills that could be useful in the future.

The centre tries to expose learners to a variety of activities to find the skills and interests of each learner.

One such activity was making flowerpots out of cement and painting and decorating them.

Learners will take some flowerpots home to plant something in them, and others are being used at the centre to bring colour to the gardens. Seeing something that they made being used brings a sense of pride and accomplishment to the learners.
