Awards for Izotsha’s mathletes

Learners and educators were looking forward to their well-deserved winter holiday.

Izotsha Primary has been extremely busy completing work and competing in a number of activities lately.

Grades 1, 2 and Grade 3C and D boys’ soccer and Grade 1, 2 and 3C and D girls’ hockey matches were played against Port Shepstone Junior Primary. The children played enthusiastically and displayed good sportsmanship and manners.

Senior boys and girls hockey was played against touring teams from Felixton College. Both teams played exceptionally well. The girls drew their match 0-0 and the boys won their match 1-0. It was a good way for both teams to end the season.

Grades 3 to 7 learners participated in an Ugu District inter-school mental maths challenge at Izotsha. The school is proud of its learners who did exceptionally well.

Exciting internal rugby and netball matches were played and well-supported.

The SBST held a civvies day last Friday and the Grade 4-7 learners attended a school barn dance on Friday evening.

Both learners and educators are looking forward to their well-deserved winter holiday.
