PE Primary visits SPCA

The friendly and dedicated staff of the SPCA gave the learners a tour of the premises and spoke to them about the importance of looking after pets.

Grade R learners from Port Edward Primary enjoyed a busy week of exciting activities.

The Grade Rs had a Fruit Salad Day last Tuesday. Learners brought various fruits to school and had a fun, practical Maths lesson, tallying up the different amounts. After this, the fruit was cut up and mixed to make a delicious fruit salad, which was enjoyed by learners and teachers alike. The school thanks the Grade R parents for providing such an amazing assortment of fruits.

The Grade Rs then went on a wonderful outing to the Lower South Coast SPCA last Friday. The friendly and dedicated staff of the SPCA gave the learners a tour of the premises and spoke to them about the importance of looking after pets. The learners were delighted to interact with and meet some of the furry, four-legged friends at the SPCA and were proud to hand over a large collection of dog and cat food, as well as blankets and toys.
