Creston College‘s Grade 5s embarked on an exciting journey of coding by programming the Micro:bit car for the first time. They successfully made it move, changed RGB LED colours, and displayed smiley icons on the Micro:bit.
The school also hosted a three-day junior primary hockey festival, where its young hockey girls showcased their skills and sportsmanship. Grade 3s started the action on Monday, followed by Grade 1s on Tuesday, and Grade 2s on Wednesday.
Teams from Izotsha, Port Shepstone Junior, Kokstad Junior, Southcity and Suid-Natal joined, making it a memorable event for all.
Grade Rs explored the wonders of the beach and the sea, learning about puffer fish and creating unique fish using watercolours.
The pre-primary children enjoyed a wonderful show by Educate and Fascinate, learning ways to save the planet and ocean animals.
It was such fun. Remember: Reuse, Renew, Recycle!
