World Book Day sparks curiosity at Jai Hind

Librarians visited the school and read to the learners as well.

Jai Hind Primary was abuzz with excitement as teachers surprised learners by donning costumes of beloved book characters, marking the celebration of World Book Day.

They took on the roles of iconic book characters, sparking curiosity and imagination among the young learners. The vibrant costumes brought stories to life, captivating the learners’ attention and highlighting the importance of reading.

Nokuthula Ndlovu and Phindile Malinga from the local community library visited the school to read to the learners in the foundation phase. They encouraged them to explore books and the the magical world of reading.

The school is grateful to the librarians for dedicating their time to enrich the learning experience of young minds.

To further promote reading, a read-a-thon is scheduled to take place, offering learners the opportunity to explore the world of reading further. The school aims to cultivate a culture of reading and promote a lifelong love for learning.
