PE Primary’s gymnasts shine

They were graded on their abilities on four main apparatus – vault, beam, bar and floor.

Port Edward Primary School’s Grade 5 and 7 classes have held very successful cake sales this term, with lots of delicious treats on sale, and wonderful raffle prizes.

The school thanks its learners and parents of all grades for their amazing support in this ongoing fundraising initiative.

The school is proud of two of its Grade R learners, Sienna van Eeden and Scarlett Mulder, who participated in a gymnastics ‘ready or not’ competition, as part of the South Coast Gymnastics Club recently.

Children were graded on their abilities on four main apparatus – vault, beam, bar and floor. Scarlett achieved a silver medal and Sienna a gold medal, based on their overall gradings in the ‘Gym Star Group 2’. Well done girls!
The school’s U13 cricketers took part in a six-a-side tournament at Suid-Natal Primary last Saturday. The boys scored a win against Suid-Natal, and lost to Izotsha Primary, but played extremely well in both matches. The school thanks Suid Natal for hosting such an enjoyable tournament.
