Sheppie High shines in drama and karate

The Sheppie High family is proud of Mhlonishwa Ngwazi, Kyra Kalu and Jack Stephens.

Port Shepstone High School’s Mhlonishwa Ngwazi has excelled in the karate arena. Recently, Mhlonishwa took part in competitions in Newcastle, Pietermaritzburg and Matatiele, where he won the trophy for best spirited fighter.

Not only did he return with this trophy, he also upgraded from a white belt to an orange belt, and now he is wearing a blue belt.

The drama department has had an eventful time recently. Kyra Kalu, Jack Stephens, Ntandokababa Ngcungama, Nomfundo Mvuna, Anesipho Mthuli, Sameer Singh and Siwaphiwe Jeke attended the Bruce Piper Monologue competition which was held at the Hilton Co and House Theatre in Pietermaritzburg.

The learners had to perform their own set monologues in front of the other contestants and judges. Kyra Kalu (Grade 11) was placed first and Jack Stephens (Grade 12) was placed second.

The Sheppie High family is proud of Mhlonishwa, Kyra and Jack.
