Jai Hind raises breast cancer awareness

Learners were given pink ribbons.

The Grade 7 girls at Jai Hind Primary were given an informative talk on breast cancer awareness.

Pranisha Bhooden of Port Shepstone Mammography raised the pink flag highlighting the signs of breast cancer. Learners were given pink ribbons to wear in honor of breast cancer awareness month.

Pranisha Bhooden and Desiree Moodley later spent the afternoon with the staff of Jai Hind at a well organised Pink Ribbon tea. Desiree shared her cancer survival story highlighting the importance of regular checkups and early detection of the disease.

The school is grateful to these two dynamic women who gave up their afternoon to empower and enrich the lives of others by raising an awareness of breast cancer and sharing their stories.
