Izotsha awards academic achievers

Learners have also been showing their support to the Springboks by wearing Bokke colours.

Izotsha Primary School educators had consultations with parents throughout the week.
The U13A cricket team played against Suid-Natal last Thursday. They lost by 9 runs. Rayne Riley displayed some good bowling, taking 5 wickets in 4 overs with only 3 runs being scored. Zack Apostolides made 12 runs off 8 balls.

It was a fun-filled day last Friday, with the school wearing Bokke colours in support of the Springbok team.
The Grade 7s put together encouraging songs and motivation for the Bokke which they presented to the Intermediate and Senior Phase. This was a team-building activity that the learners put together themselves, with the guidance of set criteria from their teachers.

There was an academic awards assembly where the top 10 learners in each grade were presented with certificates. Academic badges were awarded to learners who met the various academic criteria.

The Grade 5s hosted a cake sale fundraiser.

The school is grateful to Shelly Beach Private Hospital that organised various trauma response teams/units to celebrate National Trauma Week.

Learners enjoyed the various live, interactive presentations by KwaZulu Private Ambulance Services, the Ray Nkonyeni Fire and Response Services, I.M.A.R.T Rescue Services and staff from Shelly Beach Private Hospital. It was interesting to see how patients were stabilised and moved, without misaligning their spines. Learners also enjoyed seeing how trauma response teams got into a crashed vehicle, particularly with the use of the Jaws of Life.
