PSHS launches sanitary pad drive

Donations were made to Mshweshwe High School in Izingolweni.

Sheppie High’s Interact Club’s Pink Rose Foundation recently completed a drive launched to help the many young girls in the community who have difficulty accessing sanitary pads.

Port Shepstone High’s Grade 10 learner, Nikayla Naidoo played an instrumental part in the Pink Rose sanitary drive.

The members of the Pink Rose committee spent many hours sorting, counting, packing and labelling donations.
The team visited Mshweshwe High School in Izingolweni recently, to distribute the 600 packages donated by the learners of Sheppie High.

It was delightful to see how appreciative the female learners were of the donation. There is a large number of girls who are underprivileged, whose need for basic resources, education and support is much greater than the non-essential desires of the already privileged.

This is the goal as the Interact Club, to help those in need and to make a difference in the lives of others. The girls were particularly moved by the number of smiles received. A huge thanks to parents for assisting with transport on the day.
