Learning and fun on overseas tours for Creston

It was an educational and exciting trip.

During the school holidays, two groups of top achievers from Creston College embarked on academic tours of UK and Ireland and the USA.

The UK and Ireland tour participants were learners Wasanga Dinga, Lwandile Bhengu, Alfa Pato and Slondiwe Ndwalane and the USA tour participants consisted of Cejay Naidoo, Zowakha Mthuli, Keegan Peterson, Arnaav Luckraj and Olwethu Mbili.

Executive head Noel Coetzee, was a chaperone for the USA tour for one of the groups. These tours, organised by Travel and Sport, offered a blend of academia and adventure. It was an honour for these learners to be invited to participate in this tour, as they qualified for the opportunity back in 2022.

The tour was an opportunity to experience some remarkable places in the USA, UK, and Ireland. From visiting iconic landmarks like the White House, Kennedy Space Centre, Universal Orlando Resort, to exploring prestigious universities such as Harvard, Princeton, MIT and Yale, their trip was filled with enriching experiences.

The tour also included cultural highlights like the Blue Man Show, MIT Museum, and visits to significant museums like the Museum of Natural History and the British Museum. It’s evident that this journey offered a unique blend of learning and fun, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Other holiday news is that the school congratulates Dawie and Tarryn Snyman (nee Gardiner) on their marriage over the holiday break. Wishing them a lifetime filled with love and happiness.
