Creston gets creative

Through dance, drama, film, poetry, and comedy, learners are educated on a variety of different, yet pressing topics by young leaders they can relate to.

The talented musicians of the KZN Youth Orchestra performed at Norwegian Settlers Church last Saturday, and Creston College‘s High School Vocal Ensemble did a guest performance.

The Group 5 children have been learning about different types of weather and the seasons. These budding meteorologists enjoyed creating rainbows, painting bright pictures, and making hot chocolate on a cold day.
The Grade 3s enjoyed connecting Novi BOT, coding on Scratch and other educational activities, in their computer lesson. They also learnt about speech marks and had lots of fun putting their knowledge into practise with speech mark shaped pasta.

TruLife Productions visited the College Phase. Trulife’s in-person productions are dynamic, and their aim is to make learners aware of issues, from a new perspective. Through dance, drama, film, poetry, and comedy, learners are educated on a variety of different, yet pressing topics by young leaders they can relate to.

The Grade 8s watched the DNA production which is a challenging look at peer pressure, and specifically covers drugs and alcohol.

Healthy Relationships was presented to Grade 9s and Social Justice to Grade 10 to 12 learners.
We are excited to be hosting a family and friends fitness challenge this weekend and the school play, Hometown, next week.
