Reid House wins Margate Primary’s inter-house gala

The Junior Victor Ludorum was a tie between Riley Buys and Asenathi Mfingwana.

Margate Primary School had a very different inter-house gala last week. Due to the Covid pandemic, many of the children never had the opportunity to learn swimming skills, so our gala incorporated many beginner swimmer skills.

In this way, numerous learners were able to participate. We even had a well contested parents’ race much to the delight of all the swimmers. The winning house was Reid House.

The Junior Victor Ludorum was a tie between Riley Buys and Asenathi Mfingwana. The Junior Victrix was also a tie between Aluve Ngotane and Sibusisiwe Msomi.

The Senior Victrix was won by Michelle Nzama and the Victor Ludorum shared by Sambula Sihlongonyane and Banele Cele.
Well done to all the swimmers.

Mrs Boshoff and 16 of her Eco Club members went to the beach for a shore exploration last Saturday.
This was very ably conducted by Seneliso Mbombo. They thoroughly enjoyed the day and made some interesting discoveries.

Enjoying their Eco Club Shore visit are Qhawekazi Gqamane and Buhle Situba classifying organisms they found.
