Port Shepstone High school had its 70th birthday celebration on Monday last week, with February 13 the day the school was founded.
The sport field was filled with cheer, noise and excitement, with learners singing out loud and dancing to music.
It was a day to remember and excitement was written all over their faces, never mind not having to worry about books or schoolwork for a while.
Even the educators joined in, with some saying they would love to go back to their school days.
After all the festivities each learner received a cupcake snack and bottle of water.
The school has various activities planned for the year, so watch this space for details.
