Sheppie High bids farewell to principal
As the first lady principal of Port Shepstone High School, Nel made history, but she also impacted many lives in a meaningful way and her legacy will live on always.
Port Shepstone High School (PSHS) recently stood together to bid farewell to Kathi Nel, a phenomenal principal.
After 27 years of selfless service, hard work and dedication, it was time to say bon voyage. The learners gave her a send-off which will be remembered for many years to come.
As the first woman principal of (PSHS), Kathi made history, but she also impacted many lives in a meaningful way and her legacy will always live on. The school is delighted to announce that the new acting principal is Kerry McKillen, and they look forward to a bright future with her at the helm.
As we enter February, our sporting fixtures and extra-curricular calendars are exciting and it is wonderful seeing our learners achieve such wonderful results. PSHS’s girls’ touch rugby results from February 3 against Durban Girls High: The first team won 6-1, and the second team played well, but sadly lost 2-4.
Congratulations to Nandile Thwala who was awarded woman of the match, with three tries scored. The boys’ basketball fixture results versus Kingsway on February 4 were: First team won 17-15, and there was great excitement after their win.
The rest of the results were: U16 lost 14-10, U15 lost 11-10, U14B lost 2-0, but the U14As managed a 2-0 victory. The players are giving it all they have and we are proud of them.
