RA Engar’s Enviro Club participated in Ray Nkonyeni Municipality’s schools’ recycling competition at the Uvongo Town Hall recently.
Our craft, which was greenhouse made out of recycled water bottles and timber was placed first in the craft category. The school received a trophy and R6 000.
Okuhle Molefe recited a poem titled ‘Save our Planet’ which earned her first place. The school received a trophy and R6 000
Anelisa Maphumulo was awarded second place for her speech titled ‘the role of waste recycling in energy conservation’, winning the school R5 000 and a trophy.
The school also received R1 000 in the tonnage category and a medal and a certificate of participation.
Well done to all educators and learners for this outstanding achievement.
