Firefighters talk about safety at Hlanganani

It was an enjoyable day as learners sold goods and services.

South Coast Fire Rescue representatives paid a visit to Hlanganani Preparatory last Thursday, to educate learners on fire safety.

They also learned that firefighters do more than put out fires. They save people from danger, also help with hazardous materials, road traffic incidents, medical emergencies, floods, and to stop things like this from happening in the first place.

They also fit smoke alarms, supporting businesses with fire prevention and working with the police to keep the roads collision-free.
Both educators and learners are now equipped with knowledge about fire safety and thank the firefighters for sharing their knowledge.
Grade 7 learners hosted their annual market day last Friday.

As part of their EMS curriculum, they were tasked with displaying entrepreneurial skills by creating and buying products to sell for a profit.

Stalls selling goods and services made for an enjoyable day.
